The National Vocabulary Championship is open to high school students who are between the ages of 13 and 19 years old. To qualify, you must attend a participating school (see website) or complete the National Qualifying Exam, being offered during the month of November 2007. NetAid Global Action Awards honor high school students in the U.S. who are building a brighter future for the world’s poorest people. Honorees receive $5000 and will have a celebration in honor of their achievement.

The scholarship is available to high school students living in the U.S. who have organized and led a project that has directly impacted people in developing countries or raised awareness in their own communities about global poverty.

Honorees will be chosen by a panel of judges based on the level of innovation, cooperation, leadership, inspiration and impact displayed by their work.

The Sallie Mae 911 Education Fund was created in response to the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001.
